About Us

Who we are?

A virtual store shelf with a selection of specialty coffee that is delivered fresh to you

Bonne Coffee is a place for you to discover a variety of quality, specialty coffee. Whether you’re just starting out or have been on the artisan coffee journey for a while.

If you are a pro and already enjoy specialty coffee, we help you find new roasters and products to explore.
If you’re new to it, we make it easier to learn, taste, and find what suits you.

We also support micro-roasters or specialty roasters by helping them reach more people, beyond their local communities.

Why?

We discovered how much better coffee can be — and we could never go back.
Now we want to share that with others.

Founded by two women passionate about sharing the fabulous artisan coffee that’s often hidden locally or undiscovered, Bonne Coffee is driven by the belief that what’s good needs to be shared.

That’s why we curate great coffee at our platform: so you can explore, enjoy, share back your feedback and discover your own version of good coffee.

Our Mission

At Bonne Coffee, we believe good coffee should shared with the world, not hidden.

But “good coffee” isn’t a universal standard — it’s a personal discovery.

Everyone deserves to find the coffee that feels just right for them.

Born from the spirit of bonne chance, bonne journée, and bonne compagnie — all French wishes for something good ahead — Bonne Coffee carries more than a cup:

It carries a wish — that you find your good.

What is Specialty Coffee?

Specialty coffee is a term used to describe the highest quality coffee — from the way it’s grown, to how it’s processed, roasted, and brewed.

It starts with carefully selected beans, grown in ideal conditions, often by small-scale farmers who prioritize sustainability and traceability. These beans are scored for quality (usually 80+ on a 100-point scale) and roasted in small batches to bring out unique flavours — like fruit, chocolate, florals, or spice — instead of the generic “burnt” taste many of us are used to.

In short:

  • Better beans
  • Thoughtful roasting
  • More flavour, less bitterness or burnt taste

How is it different from regular coffee at the grocery store?

Most grocery store coffee is mass-produced, pre-ground, and roasted to taste consistent — not necessarily good. It’s often made from lower-quality beans, roasted months ago, and packaged for shelf life, not freshness.

Specialty coffee, on the other hand, is about freshness, quality, and character.
It may cost a little more, but every cup is more enjoyable — and often more ethical too.
